Nir Azriel is Head of AI / ML at Eagle Trading Systems Inc. and holds a parallel role at Eagle Labs Capital (Israel) Ltd. Mr Azriel joined Eagle in September 2016 from Israel Capital Group (ICG), a quantitative investment manager he co-founded in 2009 to specialize in ML based statistical trading strategies. Over the course of his career, Mr. Azriel has built a specialization in the development of unique approaches in the field of machine learning, and its application to genetic algorithm frameworks. Prior to co-founding ICG in 2009, Nir was Director of Services and Solutions at EMC, the worldwide leader in data storage solutions, comprising a diverse range of software and hardware products for data storage, disaster recovery and data replication across a spectrum of enterprise environments. Nir moved to EMC in 2006 when it acquired Kashya, an Israeli data technology company where Nir was Head of Technology Solutions and Services, and was in the core team which pioneered the innovative technologies used in the core data optimization and replication processes. Previously, from 2000 to 2002, Mr. Azriel worked for Intel in software development. Prior to that, Mr Azriel spent 1995-1999 in system design and development as an officer in the Intelligence Corps (8200) of the Israel Defense Forces responsible for collecting signal intelligence and code decryption.
Mr. Azriel is a graduate of Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with a BSc in Computer Science & Business Administration.
