Tzachi Shahar is Head of Software Development at Eagle Trading Systems (R&D) Ltd. and also serves as the Chief Technology Officer of Eagle Labs Capital (Israel) Ltd. Mr. Shahar has been with Eagle Trading Systems (R&D) Ltd. since 2010, and brings over 20 years of technology development experience. Prior to Eagle, Mr. Shahar spent 3 years as the CTO of iMedix, which was acquired by AVG Technologies (NYSE:AVG) and 4 years as the CTO of Netwise, which is now part of the Matrix group, one of Israel’s largest IT companies focused on enterprise infrastructure. During his tenure at Netwise, Mr. Shahar oversaw the building of the largest banking and governmental web infrastructures in Israel. At iMedix, Mr. Shahar patented a widely used methodology for enhancing the performance of a medical search engine based on semantic analysis and user feedback. In 2006, Mr. Shahar was designated as a Microsoft Regional Director for EMEA, a program recognizing the world’s top technology visionaries for their proven cross-platform technical expertise, community leadership and commitment to business results. Prior to Netwise, Mr. Shahar spent 3 years at EDS, a global leading IT services companies acquired by HP in 2008. Within EDS’ CTO group, he participated in numerous enterprise projects as a developer and technology expert.
Mr. Shahar holds a B.A. degree in Computer Science from Hadassah Academic College, Jerusalem.
